Financial Coaching Foundations

We’re pleased to announce the return of Extension’s “Financial Coaching Foundations” course!  This course is designed to provide social workers, case managers, and other professionals who provide direct services to individuals with the knowledge and skills to help clients craft solutions to their problems.

Financial Coaching Foundations will be held via Zoom on the following dates from 10 am-12:30 pm: June 11, 13, 18, 20, and 25.  Participants who complete all five sessions will be eligible to receive 1.4 CEUs through the University of Wisconsin.

In the past this course has filled up fast and has drawn in a national (and even international) audience. If you are interested, register as soon as possible!  This class will most likely reach its capacity quickly. The final registration date is June 7 (if it does not fill up sooner).

Join us for this live, online course!

Summer 2024: 5 sessions on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 10am – 12:30pm CT (June 11, 13, 18, 20, and 25)

Help your clients build skills for lasting change with Financial Coaching!

Participants will:

  • Practice foundational coaching skills for deeper listening and impactful questions.
  • Apply proven strategies for achieving goals and lasting behavior change.
  • Develop techniques for increasing client motivation.
  • Apply the A|4 Coaching Model during in-class coaching sessions.

This course will be held live via Zoom. The 5 sessions will not be recorded. Participants are expected to attend all 5 scheduled dates for the Summer course to earn 1.4 CEU’s through the University of Wisconsin. The course registration fee is $325.

Note: This course does not cover basic money management topics. Participants are expected to have a working knowledge of financial education. All course materials will be provided online.
